### Best Practice Rules
#### 1. Channel Width Selection
Avoid 160 MHz channel widths in dense corporate deployments. While they offer extreme peak speeds, they limit the number of non-overlapping channels. Use **80 MHz** or **40 MHz** channel widths to prevent co-channel interference.
#### 2. Transmit Power (Tx) Tweaking
Because the 6 GHz signal attenuates faster than 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz, administrators often set 6 GHz transmit power too high. This disrupts client roaming algorithms. Keep 6 GHz power levels approximately **3-4 dBm higher** than 5 GHz, while keeping 2.4 GHz power levels at a strict minimum (e.g. 6-8 dBm).
#### 3. Channel Mapping Grid (80 MHz)
In India, ensure your APs are locked to the following non-overlapping channel numbers in the U-NII-5 band:
* **Channel 37** (5955-6035 MHz)
* **Channel 53** (6035-6115 MHz)
* **Channel 69** (6115-6195 MHz)
* **Channel 85** (6195-6275 MHz)
